I feel crazy even predicting trump will be the nominee, but I see no alternative. It is happening.

Thankfully, he is almost certain to lose. It would really be crazy if I could see no alternative to a new trump presidency.

I do not deny that I might be misunderstanding the rules, but from my understanding, this is happening. I do not think those that made the rules for the Republican Party could have ever imagined trump would happen.

You're not crazy. Polls don't lie. trump's going to be the nominee whether he's convicted or even in prison. If either of the latter happens look for more violence from the trumptards. He's their hate megaphone. The hang Mike Pencers will be out in force. It's so sad what almost half this country has become.

Well, I wouldn't say the "same effect" either. trump provokes hate and violence. Williams evoked joy and laughter.

It is going to be a wild ride, but I have faith in the American voters. They saw the danger of staying at home in 2016. They will vote in enough numbers to keep trump out of the White House.

I have completely lost faith in the republican voters. they will nominate trump. But, the rest of the American voters will keep trump out of the White House.

There is a real point, beyond your yammering. There are repeated stories from diverse sources of trump not knowing details about WWII. It might seem strange, but his generation did not learn much about WWII in school. And his family would not have talked much about what they considered a defeat. That does not explain why trump has not learned more later in life, but that can be explained by his total aversion to learning anything.
