If you mean this article, by Business Insider, it's Fake News. Trump said TWO things. They're in the article, and for a better understanding, it is on the video in that link. Watch it carefully. TWO things are being said. That is why the article shows the two parts in two separate paragraphs with a space between.
First paragraph or statement (emphasis mine):
One of the things that really I’m happy is that the soldiers that died in Korea, their remains are going to be coming back home, and we have thousands of people that have asked for that – thousands and thousands of people.
Second paragraph or statement (emphasis mine):
So many people asked when I was on the campaign. I’d say, ‘wait a minute, I don’t have any relationship’ – but they said, ‘when you can, president, we’d love our son to be brought back home’ – you know, the remains.
In the first paragraph/statement he is talking about the thousands of people who want the remains to come home. In the second paragraph/statement he is talking about the parents. He describes their number only as “so many people”.
“So many people” doesn’t mean thousands. Thus - no lie. The mischievous editing once again took an event and described it out of context, unfairly, in order to create a "lie".
So who was this mischievous creator?
The reporter was this young guy, with the appropriate name John Haltiwanger.
He is the anti-Trump millennial who wrote this glowing advertisement for Democratic Socialism.
He grew up in Washington DC and has a Bachelor of Arts (2010). Then he was an unpaid volunteer English teacher in a government school in Georgia (which borders Russia, Turkey, Armenia and Azerbaijan. From there he went to Glasgow to study International Relations. Back home in the U.S. he tried to freelance as a writer before finally getting a job in 2017 as a breaking news writer for left winged Newsweek, and now works for left winged Business Insider.
Why does this matter? It matters because when you see the article is from Business Insider you imagine a table full of crusty old cigar smoking political wise guys, not some young metrosexual with no understanding of politics.

Now you're lying. Trump said, as you quoted: "we have thousands of people that have asked for that – thousands and thousands of people.", not "thousands of people who want the remains to come home", but "thousands of people that have asked for that – thousands and thousands of people."
Then there's the campaign promise, quoted below, about not having time for golf.
It's the worship of Trump that is the mental illness.
I just want one lie - they can't provide it. It's hilarious.
What's hilarious is your inability to deal with reality and your constant dodging. You were provided with lists of lies, but you refuse to look at them, out of fear that they're actual lies?

The OP is quite clear. The Left use Gish Gallop to distract away from the argument. It's like going to a debate and instead of providing an argument, you toss a book on the floor and say, "It's all in there." It's what cheats and weak debaters do in place of debate. You don't provide one example of a single lie because you're too afraid to. You know it will fail under examination. Why else would you refuse, pathetic one?

What a pathetic response. If it were a Gish Gallop then you could easily prove a few of the claims wrong.
Take his lie concerning the dictating of his son's statement about meeting with the Kremlin tied lawyer. He's even said it was okay because he was only lying to the New York Times.
He's long admitted to lying and exaggerating. You're just one of his suckers.
