I don't really think that birth control "takes life" as much as it just pretty much prevents life from starting. If a guy wears a condom I wouldn't really call that "taking life" though, and for many girls us taking birth control pills is more about female issues than it is about preventing pregnancy. That's not to say that many people use birth control as a way to have premarital and casual sex which is something that could be part of a real discussion, but "taking life" I'm sorry but I think that is a bit extreme and your argument won't be taken very seriously by the people you want to try and convince on here or in your everyday life. I'd focus more on the down side of using birth control a means to have casual sex and not create families.

My intent is not to attack your moral or religious paradigm but I have to ask you this. What is wrong with casual sex if it is between two consenting adults practicing safe sex? It may not align with your religious point of view but that doesn't necessarily make it wrong or immoral.

According to what standard? If one uses the Bible (most Christians claim to) as their standard of what is right and what is moral then "casual sex" is most definitely wrong and immoral.

Edit: I have to add that I do not agree with the OP.

Probably, our not liking this truth is based on our knowing we are all guilty of wiping out most, if not all, of our children with various forms, devices, and methods of Birth Control, including the Catholic Rhythm Method, etc, which take the lives of babies just as efficiently as Protestant Condoms. There is no basic difference between Artificial and “Natural” Birth Control. They both produce dead babies.

It is to be hoped that everyone understands that this is something that should be a serious concern to any person who claims they are a Conservative and/or a Believer. This view is based on a lot of research into both the Bible and Secular sources, including the Law, Business and Science. The Bible throughout, extols life, and condemns Birth Control as a major method of killing off God’s People.

All Churches condemned birth control, and considered it murder, for more than 2000 years until 1930 when the Anglican Church at its Lambeth Conference OK'd birth control for the first time in more than 2000 years of Church history.

Thereafter, like greedy sheep, all other denominations including the reluctant Catholics have followed them in one way or another. Today, sadly, essentially NO religious body completely condemns Birth Control.

FRC Family Research Council and Heritage Foundation have produced a video documentary called “Demographic Winter” (check You Tube for a preview) that details a lot of what’s in this post, and Alan Carlson is effective on this as well, but mostly Conservatives and Christians are totally silent on this life and death issue. Out of guilt their own burning guilt and shame, presumably....

Under best circumstances it takes 2.2 children to just replace any population. Any group becomes statistically extinct in less than 100 years that reproduces at half of replacement. Haha...I am honestly laughing as I read this. No disclaimers, just stating facts (call me desh). #1 - I don't agree with your OP. It is not the "truth" much less the "raw truth." "Raw" something maybe. #2 - I didn't look at the date on page one since I didn't look there until a bit after I posted. I posted a reply to Mott, a fairly reasonable if not misguided Buckeye with whom I often disagree but also with whom am able to converse amicably.
