There's another thread here about Trump's administration cutting benefits for those disabled folks receiving SSI. That $25B could have funded that program for a decade or more. It could have built and staffed several schools. It could have funded medical research. It would have funded renewable energy R&D and construction. It could have repaired dozens of bridges and roads.

in 2024, the US Federal Gobblement spent $1.8 trillion on healthcare out of a $6.7 trillion budget which comes to a little over one quarter of expenditures. You don't think that is enough?

The word is that the Pentagon officials told Trump that attacking Iran was a bad idea that would have terrible repercussions. Netanyahoo was allowed into the planning, and Trump followed him into disaster. Trump always thinks of how he will go down in history. He thinks presidents need a war to be among the important presidents. Some insiders say Trump wants to be known as the most powerful person in history.

Oh wait till all of their BBB goes into effect AFTER the mid terms and the rest of the cuts they wanted and got start effecting them , you haven't seen the crying start yet.
As I have asked why didn't they want ALL of the BBB to go into effect right away?
Are there things in there that will really hurt people ? MAGAS included that would have gotten people to vote DEM in the mid terms?

And 25 Billion is just pennies compared to the 1.7 Trillion the pentagon says it needs to fight this useless war.
At this point it really doesn't matter. Gas prices are going to continue to rise, and stay there. The war is greatly unpopular and more MAGATs are leaving the fold. Independents are too. IMO the (R)s are going to lose big time in November, BBB implementation or not. The loss of needed social benefits will mean they're going to lose in 2028 as well.
