Instead we get ridiculous "feel good" legislation that does NOTHING to put anyone back to work?

Tell me...how many people were put back to work thanks to passage of the resolution reaffirming "In God We Trust" as the official motto of the USA?

What's really sad is your total nonchalance in the face of MILLIONS of Americans who are out of work.

Your party couldn't care less about unemployed Americans, but they think reaffirming In God We Trust is more important than working on putting our unemployed back to work.

The jobs are being held hostage by Righties who think it's more important to reaffirm "In God We Trust" as our national motto than to get busy on some meaningful legislation meant to put the unemployed back to work.
 
The Memorial is to honor WWII vets....
FDR asked God to give the allied troops courage and faith, saying, "With thy blessing we shall prevail over the unholy forces of our enemy."

How in the hell does that "dilute" the memorial's central message ?

Mr Abbey can cover his bullshit excuse with all the fancy words he wants but its still
bullhsit....its the old "lipstick in a pig" routine....

FDR presided over those vets and CinC and including a plaque with his words should be "required" just because its the right thing to do....

He created Social Security and other programs that are the mainstay of todays Democrats and for them to oppose using his words on a memorial like this is beyond stupid....
