North Korea has nukes. North Korea has ballistic missiles. The leadership is a dictatorship. They are an imminent threat to America. Why isn't Trump nuking Pyongyang?

Russia has nukes. Russia has been hostile against the United States since 1917 albeit a mutual truce for a few years after the Hitler/Stalin bromance broke up. The technology transfer from the US to the USSR has a direct line to the four decades of Cold War with the Soviets (Stalin) on an equal military capability as the United States. Due to that imbalance of Socialism vs. Democracy, Stalin helped his ancient enemies to the East with a similar technology transfer to the People's Republic of China. There was an equal "look the other way" ideology to Israel joining the club around 1966.

India having the tech in 1974 followed by Pakistan in 1998 provides an interesting area of study for how and who became fellow members of an exclusive club.

A club which makes all other nations nervous. LOL

The fear is that some nutjob dictator with nuclear weapons would launch nuclear weapons even though it is a form of suicide: Mutual Assured Destruction. They'll launch too and others may follow.
