The "Hormuz Cover" Scam
Washington is calling this a "30-day emergency waiver" to save us from an oil crisis. They’re claiming that because Iran blocked the Strait of Hormuz, we have to let Russian oil back into the market to keep gas prices from hitting $7.

it’s a payoff. This administration has been dragging its feet on Russian sanctions since Day One. They just spent months threatening allies like India with 500% tariffs for buying Russian crude, only to flip-flop the second they had a "crisis" to use as an excuse.

By issuing General License 134, the U.S. just handed Vladimir Putin a $10 billion payday by freeing up 128 million barrels of "stranded" oil.

Was this what the whole crisis was manufactured for? Our allies in Europe have been starving themselves to hobble putin's war machine for years and we just rescued it in a week.

In my opinion, they aren't reacting to a crisis. This is tRump completing a deal that was started a year ago.

The whole thing looks like a bait and switch.

Im sure there were multiple motives for this unneeded war, but I am equally sure none of them benefit us average joes.

The Imperial Empire to India: We give you emergency permission to buy Russian oil.

India: Fuck You, we dont need your permission and we never stopped.

And, your point is?

The highest Russian oil production in history was 11.05 million BPD. There is no way they could get that capacity, but let's assume they did. Their current oil production is 10.1 million BPD. So allowing unrestricted exports would only get us another million barrels.

We need 20 million more barrels, so given in to the Russians only gets us 5% of what we need.

Let's assume that Russia starts exporting natural gas at its former high point. That would mean that Saudi Arabia could stop using the East-West pipeline for natural gas, which might add another million barrels, so we could get to 10% of what we absolutely need.

It's simply funding for putin's war machine.
