using Florida v. Jardines, an American citizen has extra protections when inside their home...............those police did not have an arrest warrant. The verbal exchange of wanting to get Dr. Lanis to step out on the porch was to provide legal cover to arrest him. Otherwise, without a warrant, the police had no legal authority to enter, or breach, the home of the doctor. so, the rookie cop reaching inside to grab the Drs. arm was a 4th Amendment violation

I'd love to know. This is a bizarre thread, even for SmarterthanYou. The cops didn't break any laws. Lanis resisted arrest and pulled a gun on them. They tried to subdue him. Then they shot him. I am honestly mystified as to what this thread is supposed to be about.
