Constantly worrying about charging your car is not progress.
Requiring specially equipped shops to work on the car is not progress.
Increased risks of fire is not progress.
Spending twice as much for the same sized car is not progress.

You are still ignoring the electricity you use, the cost of EVs, the cost of maintaining EVs, and your constant worry about charging it, and the length of time it takes to charge from dead battery to fully charged.

Gasoline cars have no problem driving on 'improper roads' or no roads at all! Gasoline vehicles can MAKE roads too! I just built one myself recently. It's called a 'driveway'.
Didn't need gas stations either. Gasoline was delivered. You stored your own gasoline. Even today, small portable gas cans are rather commonplace.

For long distances, people used trains, pulled by a steam locomotive (an external combustion engine). The tender carried the fuel for that engine, and trains still move a lot of coal and oil today.

FADEC engines in modern gasoline cars are VERY efficient. Ford just introduced a new V8 engine that produces over 500hp, to be used in trucks and larger cars. Toyota is getting out of the EV biz. They are the largest manufacturer of cars on the planet.

EVs are NOT an 'advancement of technology'. They are older than gasoline engines. The Li-ion batteries these cars use was invented in the 80's (almost 45 years ago!).

Meanwhile, the gasoline engine went from a top draft carburetor to FADEC, using the latest computer technology to make it work. The result is a much more efficient engine that is easier to maintain. I welcome the advancement in technology. It is YOU wanting to stay in the past.
