White House calls House GOP removal of Omar from committee a ‘political stunt’

It's worse than a "stunt". It's an act of religious and cultural prejudice.

She should have been kicked out long ago!

The White House on Thursday bashed House Republicans for voting to kick Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) off of the Foreign Affairs Committee over her past comments about Israel, calling it a “political stunt.”

“The way that we see this, it’s a political stunt, much like House Republicans’ unjust removal of other leading Democrats from key committees in recent weeks, and it is a disservice to the American people,” Jean-Pierre said, referencing the removal of Reps. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) and Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) from the House Intelligence Committee.

why not call it what it is......a fulfilled campaign promise........

Someone needs to explain what an anti-Semite is to Slow Joe. Remind him Hitler was antisemitic too.

Supporting Palestine from fascist invasion is not antisemitic. It's anti-fascist.

McCarthy is just another prosemitic shit-shoveler, seized by the Benjamins.

Marjorie Taylor Greene has been stripped of her committee assignments.

Straight from the Communist News Network.

That was last Congress.

She has not been restricted from any committees this congress. In fact she has been given a plum committee appointment to the Homeland Security Committee. This is after she said she would have planned the Jan 6 attack on the Capitol better. Do you think anti-semites should be in charge of homeland security where they get access to classified information?

So? Make your case for why any one of them is entitled to a seat on any committee.

Marjorie Taylor Greene is not an antisemite

To honor the Holocaust is to recognize the first sprouts of government tyranny and stop them

Marjorie Taylor Greene’s latest unconscionable act of antisemitism, so we are told by our trusted media, was tweeting “Joe Biden is Hitler. #NaziJoe has to go” after Mr. Biden’s infamous “Red Speech” attacking “MAGA Republicans.”

Apparently, criticizing Mr. Biden, who is not Jewish, is anti-Jewish. Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, whom The Washington Post calls “the most famous Rabbi in America,” explained that Mrs. Greene’s tweet was antisemitic because it “denigrates the Holocaust and constitutes a form of Holocaust denial.” Democrat Representative Brad Schneider, who is Jewish, drafted a resolution to censure Mrs. Greene calling on his colleagues to join in condemning her, “rather than amplify hate, bigotry, and racism.”

In other words, Mrs. Greene is a Nazi for calling Biden a Nazi, and if you fail to condemn her, you’re a Nazi too.

Correct. MTG is a Nazi. She's also a trashy MAGA bitch. Same goes for her supporters.

The House Republicans are doing what Republicans do best...showing just how ignorant and childish MAGA conservatives can be.

Hey, give credit where credit is due.

They are doing one hell of a job. Yup, they are showing it brightly and clearly.
Stepping on their collective dicks, as it were.

Let them have their fun until the general in 2 years. How much damage can they actually do? All we need is two or three sane Republicans to vote against the loons.

Such a stupid farang goy

What may be most baffling in the hypocrisy department is that McCarthy himself has invoked the antisemitic specter of disproportionate Jewish political power in America — and on Twitter, no less. Before the 2018 midterm elections, McCarthy tweeted that “we cannot allow Soros, Steyer, and Bloomberg to BUY this election! Get out and vote Republican November 6th. #MAGA.”

McCarthy has dismissed the notion that he was being antisemitic, noting the three Jewish donors he accused of trying to “buy” the election were united in his mind not by faith but politics. Perhaps so, but wasn’t this precisely the problem with Rep. Omar’s tweet? It is not antisemitic to point out AIPAC’s political influence in Congress, which it proudly touts in its own materials, but it may be problematic to do so with careless language that could harm American Jews.

You can call a Jewish asshole an asshole for supporting Israeli fascism - but take care not to call him/her a Jewish asshole for supporting Israeli fascism. Seems reasonable.
