China's lockdowns were very successful . The death and infection rates were low.
However, the young Chinese street decided that it would rather risk death and infection than remain locked-down any longer. They have demonstrated and the government has complied. That, imo, is a grave mistake.
Infections are soaring- perhaps with new variants- and much of the world has left it too late to test everybody traveling out of China. It now appears unavoidable that death and infection rates outside of China are also going to increase. Good luck.
