Incorrect...the modifications make the gun lighter and make the muzzle velocity about 1/5 that of a regular .22

No one on earth would ever use a competitive biathlon rifle to hunt any prey because the round will just bounce off whatever you're shooting at.

So biathlon rifles are bought specifically for the purpose of participating in the baithlon, not personal or home defense, and not for hunting.

Pretending a biathlon rifle is a firearm is like pretending a fluorescent tube is a lightsaber....it's bad faith.

I've had this same conversation with almost every single Conservative and Centrist on JPP...you all do the same thing.

Ballistics are the same…

From the biathlon rifle … a 40 grain bullet is expelled by smokeless powder at about 380 mps
From a Ruger 10/22 rifle … a 40 grain bullet is expelled by smokeless powder at about 330 mps

Both plenty lethal to animal and human.

Did you know that more people have been killed in the US with a 22 LR than with any other caliber?

Anything you can do with a gun, you can also do with a BB gun, air rifle, crossbow, or regular bow & arrow.
