We saw new evidence of the insurrection, e.g., the assault of the female police officer who testified, and there was more. Whether that is evidence against Trump depends on his culpability for the overall attack on The Capitol. The Barr video with his expanded comments on the Stolen Election lie was additional evidence from him. The purpose and importance of the hearing, however, wasn't to produce new evidence against Trump, evidence the Justice Department no doubt already has, but to convince more of the public of the seriousness of the violence and traitorous nature of the attack.

we both know that isn't true......since the inception of the committee we have been told they were looking at Trump's role in 1/6, we were told that he was going to jail for his crimes, that the committee was gathering evidence that would show us what sort of devious bastard he was........you don't doubt the Justice Department already has the evidence but its been a year and a half and there have been no indictments.....obviously then there is not enough evidence to convict Trump of anything......

we were told to wait for this committee to do its job.......we were told they had never before seen evidence of his crimes........hopefully, it will show up on Monday.......or will there be more days after that?.....

Trump said when confronted with the fact they were chanting to hang Pence that "maybe he deserves it" that is no fucking different than endorsing the action. As far as Trump calling for NG troops prior to Jan 6th you are a fucking liar, Trump NEVER called for any such thing.

Trump asked during that meeting whether the District of Columbia's mayor had requested National Guard troops for Jan. 6, the day Congress was to ratify Joe Biden's presidential election victory.
Trump told Miller to "fill" the request, the former defense secretary testified. Miller said Trump told him: "Do whatever is necessary to protect demonstrators that were executing their constitutionally protected rights."

The DC mayor never made any such request and it's obvious Trump didn't give a shit about protecting anyone but his terrorists.

All the facts will be laid out in the next few weeks. The Usual Suspects are simply parroting Tucker and Sean. They said the same shit. All good questions which need to be answered. I believe the 1/6 Committee is doing it and will continue to do so.

There are two elements to the crime: 1) whether Trump is personally responsible, 2) whether the attack was seditious or just dumb violence. The hearing showed additions to the second element; not much new to the first but keep in mind the hearing wasn't on prime time for the benefit of people who belong to political debate sites. Who knows what Garland plans to do? There are plenty of savvy observers who believe Justice has, and has had, all it needs to indict Trump.

Agreed, but will they? They didn't do it for Nixon. Will they do it this time?

Regardless, all the underlings involved, especially the active components like the WSEs, are all going to burn for this. Most of those idiots are in their 40s to 50s and won't see the light of freedom for another 20 years.

I suspect more than a few will off themselves.

For one the 12th Amendment says in part… “ The President of the Senate shall, in the presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the certificates and the votes shall then be counted;-”

If you had watched the hearing, they were backed by sworn testimony and video evidence.

You refusing to see evidence does not mean it was not presented.

Yes, the thing is, these Trumpers would not give a shit if Trump came out and said "of course I conspired to steal the election from the rightful winner!" and "I was hoping my proud boys (that I love so much) did hang a few of those who refuse to follow me" and "I almost was able to steal the presidency", they don't care, they know that. If Trump were to admit to everything that is painfully obvious to anyone with a lick of sense his Nazi's would still be saying "damn right, too bad it didn't work too". So it doesn't make much sense to bother trying to convince those who know what fucking happened and only wish the wannabe dictator succeeded anyway. They are so much like the Nazi's in 1930's Germany following Hitler it's freaky.
