Trump goes 55-0, no endorsements lost

Why are you guys so surprised, these are primaries where Trump won the general by wide margins, from my observation, nothing to see here.
Can't see the OP, but trump's candidates have historically gotten their asses kicked. Of course, trump changes his mind re. candidates it's hard to keep track.

Below is the list of Trump’s 55 endorsed gubernatorial, Senate, House, and local candidates. An asterisk indicates a runoff:

Sort of hard to deny the republican party has become the party of trump. trump gets to decide who is nominated. trump is far less successful in the general election, but among republicans, he is the final decider.

According to an early tabulation of his betting on the 2022 primaries, his endorsed candidates have all won or moved into runoffs.

The headliner from yesterday’s elections was the surprising victory of Hillbilly Elegy author J.D. Vance. The 37-year-old first-time candidate endorsed by Trump took the GOP primary in Ohio.

“President Trump’s historic endorsement streak of success continues unabated,” former White House Political Director Brian Jack told Secrets today.

“He’s 55-0 in midterm primaries — undeniable proof that his endorsement is the most powerful endorsement in politics,” he added.

Just yesterday, Secrets reported a Rasmussen Reports survey that suggested an endorsement from Trump is not just valuable, but much more than one from unpopular President Joe Biden.

Vance’s victory also was a win for Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has also joined in the endorsement business to back "America First" candidates.

Of the 55, five Trump-backed candidates have been pushed into runoffs, and Team Trump does not view them as losses. “We count runoffs as a win too — they didn’t lose,” said a Trump adviser.

Trump does have one notable endorsement in trouble, Georgia gubernatorial candidate David Perdue, who is trailing Gov. Brian Kemp leading up to the May 24 GOP primary. But his other big endorsement in Georgia,

Trump is a fascist and traitor.

Only been Republicans who have doubted, more so hoped, that Trump wasn’t the head of the Party, in fact, it is no longer or has been the Republican Party, but now it is the party of Trump. Dangerous in.a democracy when one person totally controls a political entity, shades of an autocracy, the opinions of others are important

And as much as you see Trump’s dominance in the party as a plus, Democrats also see it as a plus, easier to run against Trump, as history has shown
Correct. Not unlike Teabag candidates in close elections

Are you talking about primaries or in the general elections?

Because a lot of Trump's idiots have lost in the General elections!

NEXT MOOT THREAD PLEASE!

ya. i didnt compose the list, and you can certainly scratch off Abbot - but Trump didnt lose any -and that's remarkable
JD Vance though....that right there is a true 'America First" - even his book was about hollowing out the midwest manufacturing and brownfield. No question Trump put him over the top

If I’m really trying to handicap Trump’s endorsement performance it would be more how do his candidates perform in the general election and specifically in the more purple type (projected closer) races. That might offer a window into how his potential ‘24 candidacy might be perceived

of course.it's only like 3 states and those are red
But the talk of "Trump is dead" is a dead issue itself - just how much juice he carries forward?
but there will be juice

his endorsement carries weight, but it's his policies that are the commonality across the party .
Populists own the Party now- not the Establishment swamp

his endorsement carries weight

That is the understatement of the year. 55 for zero is more than an endorsement that carries weight. The republican party is clearly the party of trump. he owns it, and gets to decide who runs in it.

but it's his policies that are the commonality across the party

trump has more grievances than policies. The few times he will mention actually policies, they are often completely out of whack with what used to be Republican policies. For crying out loud, he kept talking about his support of single payer healthcare.

Id still rather see Desantis as the nominee- but Trumps "America First" is alive and kicking

I could be wrong, but I"m thinking Trump may endorse Desantis. He's younger and supported Trump when he was president, is popular and probably the only one Trump's supporters would welcome.

Putin's and the sewer bitch of the GOP tRump and his un-American repuke insurgency deserves to experience extreme forms of Justice descending on their stinking, seditious, destructive, uncivilized and taxpayer pilfering hides as criminals against humanity and a disgrace toward the human race on Earth.

Right now, trump has done the opposite of endorsing DeSantis. trump has been very angry with DeSantis' talk about challenging trump for the nomination.

see how it plays out. there is no bad blood between them. let the primaries figure it out

That could switch in a heartbeat. If Trump runs and so does DeSantis then all gloves are off. You know Trump hears the whispers that even some of the strongest #MAGA supporters want DeSantis to run. Trump is who he is. When you are subordinate to him things are fine. You challenge him, or are a challenge, then that's a different story.

Trump sees the 20202 election as stolen. everyone admits to "irregularities"

But teh primaries are a different matter - no Dems involved to screw with ballot harvesting etc

Ive actaully been listening a bit to Trump -hes toned it down somewhat...but all this will work itself out
If you are saying Trump would blow up the nomination - no that's not so

Actually, if you go back to Iowa in 2016 where Cruz won Trump claimed Cruz stole the caucuses by fraud. There were no Dems involved in that to my knowledge.

But that's not what I was responding to. You mentioned no bad blood between Trump and DeSantis. That may be the case now (at least publicly) but I'm saying it won't stay that way if they both run in '24. If that happens the gloves will come off.

you mean candidates will fight it out? well duh.

what maters if if they endorse each other (the loser).. right now everyone in the Republican party is
so alarmed at what Biden is doing to the country
( and based on the little ive heard from Trump) i think that's a given
