The current number is 5,650, so it is safe to say that 5 (in April of 2020) was not even close to the peak. The death peaks happened in January of 2021, and October of 2021. There might be another peak soon or later, but right West Virginia has leveled out at a disturbingly high rate of death. We all know vaccination could lower that to a very low rate... But it is West Virginia.
