Trump took credit for Obama's economy. He actually went 4 years without an economic policy, other than that. That crappy tax cut for corporations and billionaires did nothing for the economy, but it did increase the wealth gap the Repubs love so much.
Presidents have little to do with the market. Most presidents know that and rarely mention it. Trump talked about it all the time taking credit when it went up, and blaming others when it dropped. He never learned.
