I appreciate your sharp criticism and agree on the influence of big money on both parties. But we diverge when the subject is President Biden's mental prowess. The man is obviously well qualified for the office and speaks eloquently, particularly considering that he is a natural stutterer who not only overcame the limitation but became a popular public speaker as a part of his life service to our nation.

The group first raised the threat in February, following the deadly Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol by Trump supporters to try to disrupt congressional certification of Democrat Joe Biden's presidential election victory.

It actually can't.

Money isn't value. It's a representation of value. It is not wealth. It is a medium to transact wealth in trade.
Money's representation of value is determined by public trust in it. It doesn't matter whether it's fiat, gold, silver, clamshells, marks, drachma, yen, or any other currency.

Congress cannot force people to trust a currency. They can try to specify a currency to be used as a standard (such as fiat money), but they can't actually force it's use (with one rather useless exception).

As for the dollar, faith in it is waning already. People are already looking around for another currency. Some are looking for returning to gold and silver, others are investigating Bitcoin, others are considering SDRs (a world currency).
I don't think SDRs will be accepted. It's another fiat currency for one thing, something that has left a bad taste in people, even though it has a much cleaner balance sheet than the Federal Reserve. Bitcoin seem to be seeing a lot of favor currently, while others seem to be favoring gold and/or silver.

Who knows which way it will go. I think the dollar's days are numbered though. The government has to print billions of it regularly just to keep the party moving along as it is, and the government is STILL trying to expand.
