And so it begins: open Civil War has broken out in the GOP

'Rationals' vs. 'radicals': Anti-Trump Republicans threaten third party

Source: Reuters

Over 100 former Republican officials will sign a letter on Thursday declaring that if the Republican Party does not break with former President Donald Trump and change course, they will back the creation of a third party.

The letter, headlined: "A Call For American Renewal," is an exploratory move toward forming a breakaway party, two of its organizers said. The group is dismayed by what it says is a modern Republican Party driven by its allegiance to Trump, who continues to falsely claim the 2020 election was stolen from him.

"The Republican Party is broken. It's time for a resistance of the 'rationals' against the 'radicals,'" said Miles Taylor, one of the organizers. Taylor, while serving in the Trump White House, wrote an anonymous opinion piece in the New York Times in 2018 headlined: "I Am Part of the Resistance Inside the Trump Administration."

The group first raised the threat in February, following the deadly Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol by Trump supporters to try to disrupt congressional certification of Democrat Joe Biden's presidential election victory.

WOWZA!!

Will the dems keep the house in 2022?

That's all that really matters.

Will America bounce back from this "pandemic" by 2022? That is the question that really matters.
There are job openings in just about every sector right now, yet employers are having difficulty
filling them. Let's see what happens once the "freebies" run out. Will Dems go back to work? Will
they be too lazy to vote in midterms? They rallied and rioted against Trump and won. Who will they
rally and riot against in the upcoming midterms? Hopefully, it's Biden & Co's policies we vote against.

The shitstorm they've created REALLY hits in July, so that's an emphatic NO.
Wait until independents and progressives find out that credit card Joe is selling them a bunch of lies.

No $15 an hour
No infrastructure
No withdraw from Afghanistan

I hate to keep sounding like a broken record but the gig economy is up. People are looking for fiscal stability and single-payer healthcare. The markets have a good chance of collapsing before the 2022 election. All hell will break loose if there's any talk of a 5th bailout in 30 years.

Most of us probably won't be here in 30 years...

What do you think will be bailed out?
Wall Street. The federal reserve will most likely have to be dissolved. Economists and historians are predicting worse than 1929 with food riots and all. We could see a systemic collapse -- political, economic, and social.

That's why squabbling right vs left is counterproductive.

I guess that remains to be seen. Most people aren't fans of Wall Street, even though we have some investment with our retirement plans.
As for the food riots (if they would occur), they will mostly happen in the crowded cities. Let them become savages, we rural folk don't care.

Of course the squabbling is counterproductive, but forced submission to redefining our constitution is also counterproductive. Don't you think?

A spokesman for Trump, Jason Miller, said: “These losers left the Republican Party when they voted for Joe Biden."

heil trump!

my favorite part about this is that it was a spokesman who said it lol.

WOWZA!!

What took them so long?

Any real ones or just futurists and club of Rome nincompoops who have been predicting near term doom for 50 years? No? Thought not.
