Support for a 3rd party at an all time high

If there is going to be a third party, it needs to be a Centrist Party which attracts common sense moderates from both of the existing parties.

Let the extremist lunatics on both ends have the the D's and the R's.

I think that's what many people have in mind when polling shows people open to a 3rd party. The obvious challenge is how do you go from the abstract of people being open to a centrist party to then creating it.

I guess there has to be some sort of groundswell that clamors for it, then some influential people with a lot of experience in politics and the inner workings and processes to form a committee then start going through whatever steps are required. After that it would be a matter of getting people to leave the other two and join up.

I would if it looked like they were drawing as many people from the R's as they were from the D's.

More Republicans than Democrats favor a new third party, so it is more likely to be more conservative than progressive.

That would amount to a do nothing party that stands around patting themselves on the back for doing nothing. Healthcare, climate change, police reform, or reform of anything at all would never get done while we all wait for the do nothings to get out of meetings to decide what not to do.

Joe is pandering to the diaper shitter segment of the far left like you a bit too much for my liking because if he didn't you'd be throwing tantrums and threatening to not vote in the next election.

That is of course your right, but it doesn't make your political demands any more feasible or accomplishable with an evenly divided Congress.

Therefore all we grownup adults can do is shake our heads, roll our eyes and hope we can keep the extremist assholes on both sides out of power for as long as possible.
