Support for a 3rd party at an all time high

3rd parties are losers because they are not grassroots.
When the libertarians, or Progs or whomever decide to build from the ground up there might be a chance

True now a Mr. Joseph Biden will finish! Trump Repumplecans have to hide! Nowhere!

After 20JAN22, Joe will do what Trump should have done over two years into his first term: lateral pass to the VP and remove himself from the BS.

I remember reading on numerous occasions the claim that voting third party was a sign of white privilege and basically almost racist. There’s an element of irony in saying it’s racist to not vote for either of the two parties who gave us our institutional and systemic racism we enjoy today.

hopefully that was sarc.

I’d certainly like to see the logic of that explained. Definitely sounds like something from progs, kinda like them saying I’m rayciss for advocating a healthy diet.

a personal philosophy (worldview) not pre-approved of is not welcome by the hive mind Progs

hopefully that was sarc.

It was sarcastic but also true. If you believe America is fundamentally racist and we have massive institutional and systemic racism, there have only been two political parties in charge the past couple hundred years or so. I see it as ironic to then claim it’s racist to not vote for those two parties.

It was more attempting to get people not to vote for Trump and if you vote third party you were in fact supporting Trump. But each “side” claims you are voting for the other “side” if you go 3rd party. To each his own but I say F’em. I’ll vote for who I want.

i slightly misread that long statement..(basically everything not Prog approved is RAYCIST..lol)
the Progs think they are special, and just attach to Dems for convenience

I used to think in those terms as well. sorry.. this is now war. the left is out to take down our institutions

Not sure I understand but in 2016 when I said I voted for Johnson I was told (by a hyper liberal schoolteacher) that I was a traitor ( rayciss).

We need a realist party. Two bags of psychotic junky slime, arent for us. They're just for their own junky slime. Extremist political parties exist to disenfranchise and exploit rational people.

People talk about third political parties in very generic terms.

Where would it be situated ideologically? If it's to the LEFT of the Democrats, I'm interested. Otherwise, who cares?
A third party can't exist in the middle as the bases of both existing parties would tear into it, plus such a bland agenda would not draw enthusiastic support.
The nation is polarized, not homogenized.

Also, if it's successful, are we prepared to have every presidential election determined in the House of Representatives?
That would inevitably have to happen. Nobody would receive a majority of the electoral votes.

Coalition government could work, maybe even well, but people should understand what it entails before embracing it.
