(4-9-20)Our prez has talked about this being the worst week of the pandemic for the USA.

This is 11-17-20. Now we can see that was tragically incorrect.

Obviously the president either:

a) Didn't know what he was talking about.

or

b) He did, but he lied to us.

Either way it was a failure of leadership.

He needs to give up fighting the election results, accept what has happened, and allow the transition to proceed for the good of America. That would be putting America first.

What an idiotic thing to say.

Choosing to visit could be choosing death.

Staying away this year could result in many more years to enjoy regular visits.

Drive by and wave from outside the house instead.

We are running out of doctors and nurses to treat COVID patients.

Yesterday was a big day for Americans dying of COVID.

1600 dead.

We have got to do better.

I know there is COVID fatigue. Wanting this to all be over will not make it be over.

Pretending it is no problem is making the problem worse.

I try to start every day by checking in to see how America is doing in the War On COVID.

I yearn for the day that the number of Active Cases really does reach a peak and starts to drop.

That day will come. One day, I won't have to continue this thread. But we are not there yet.

Each day there is more COVID.

That sets the tone for the day.

Concern for how we are doing.

Then, if I go out and I see people blowing off all the precautions, I just think how foolish that is.

I think: "Don't they know?"

Well, obviously they don't, and they don't care.

I don't get that.

This is not a good time for people to be fooling themselves into thinking they live in some past world.

Our current world is very dangerous. People are dying every day and it's preventable.

It's mind-boggling to me that more people don't care about this.

Republican propaganda is killing people.

There comes a time when being responsible can boil down to saving lives.

This is such a time.

Thank you. It sounds like conjecture to me.

Speaking of which, here's mine:

I would suspect that unless people have serious symptoms there has to be a number who never even get tested. This would arise out of a desire to avoid any stigma associated with having such a politically loaded disease. And yes, I would also suspect that this tendency would be more prevalent among those who think concern for the pandemic is overblown, namely Republicans.

Yesterday was a bad day for the United States of America

Over 2000 people died.

192K found out they have the disease.

We now have over 12 million known cases.

People are being advised not to travel or visit for Thanksgiving by the CDC.

22,000 people are in Serious or Critical condition.

Hospitals and medical workers are being overwhelmed.

We need more people to take this seriously.

Masks and distancing.

It is amazing the tools to fight this are so simple and people refuse to comply, even as so many are dying.
