Death by Corona numbers explode to 61

Operating rooms are shut down—for elective surgeries, across the nation.

And it’s grotesque. And yes, people are going to die on account of it.

Perhaps you are unfamiliar with the term "elective." People are not getting face lifts or breast implants or knee replacements. Anyone with a medical condition that threatens their life and needs surgery is getting it unless the hospital is overrun with Covid 19 patients. People don't die because they didn't have their elective surgery.

I know what elective surgery means lol.

It means it’s not an emergency. It also covers colonoscopies and etc. How many Americans do you think will be six weeks late [or longer] getting their cancer diagnosis?

Someone who dies ‘with flu’ doesn’t count as a flu death.
I am curious how there can be any flu deaths based on your statement. Of course people that die with the flu get counted as flu deaths. If they didn't then you would be counting people who didn't have flu as flu deaths. In reality, the CDC often counts people as flu deaths without ever testing to see if they had the flu. Perhaps we should follow that example with Covid-19?

Birx said anyone who dies ‘with COVID’ gets counted.

Still waiting for an explanation for it. Padding the stats, is one explanation. You have another?

In reality, no one has a death certificate that lists "flu" as the cause just as no one has a death certificate that lists "Covid 19" as the cause. People die from flu-related complications just as people die from Covid-19-related complications. CDC has to estimate the number of deaths because "flu" is not a reportable illness. Covid 19 is a reportable illness so they can tell who had the illness when they died.

The docs on the scene were given the judgment call based on their experience. I read the memorandum.
People are coming in to covid only wards have covid and are dying. It's not the enlarged prostate.

A colonoscopy is a surgery? Since when? Are you such an asshole they have to cut you open to do this procedure?

Colonoscopies are usually done on a 5 or 10 year schedule. 6 weeks is going to make a difference if you waited 10 years?

Colonoscopies are outpatient procedures.

Biopsies are performed, sent to the lab to rule out cancer. Outpatient procedures are shutdown. Cancer diagnoses WILL BE delayed on account of this. Which means treatment will be delayed. Which means unnecessary deaths.

But they aren’t click bait. And they aren’t factored into the moral equation.

As an aside, you have no idea what you’re talking about.

Sometimes biopsies are performed, but other times they are not. It depends what they see during the colonscopy.

There are going to be deaths that are not directly related to the pandemic, but they could have been extremely mitigated with good testing, and contact tracing. Sadly, we are how far in and still nothing. I never thought I would see America fail so badly. Beyond the loss of life, it is a disgrace.

Don't be sucked into a conspiracy theory suckhole.

As previously proved to Darth, he misrepresented what Birx and, despite his claims of being a "health worker", doesn't even accept Fox News' medical expert Dr. Michael Baden on the subject: https://www.foxnews.com/politics/bi...avirus-as-covid-19-deaths-regardless-of-cause

Undercounting would be expected, especially in rural areas where there is no testing as noted in the article below:

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/bi...avirus-as-covid-19-deaths-regardless-of-cause
Asked whether the numbers could skew data the government is trying to collect, Birx said that would mostly apply more to rural areas where testing isn't being implemented on a wide scale....

...Dr. Michael Baden, a Fox News contributor, said it's reasonable to include the death of someone infected with the virus, who also had other health issues, in the COVID-19 body count.

"In the normal course, autopsies would then determine whether the person died of the effects of the COVID virus, whether the person had a brain tumor or brain hemorrhage for example that might be unrelated to it and what the relative significance of both the infection and the pre-existing disease is," Baden told Fox News.

However, the number of autopsies being performed could be low due to the danger of infection, he said.

"Then you will include in those numbers some people who did have a pre-existing condition that would have caused death anyway, but that's probably a small number," Baden said.

Wrong again. I knew you were spinning the truth as Dr. Baden from Fox News notes above.

Much of this could have been mitigated with models that didn’t suck.

Or by China not lying or WHO covering their asses. Yeah, quite the disgrace.

So? Dr. Baden, Fox News, said that's SOP. Your conspiracy theory that this is "special" is erroneous.

It’s ‘special’ relative to how they count seasonal flu deaths. Take a stab at the death toll from seasonal flu if flu deaths were recorded as ‘liberally’. Take a guess at it.

Continue spinning.

Get a clue. That's Fox's Dr. Baden says you're wrong.

Priceless;)

Agreed!
