Also, if true, the actual number of Corona cases is a lot higher than the number of confirmed cases, nationally. This is probably what prompted the expert in OH to speculate that OH could have 100k cases of the virus.

But if all of this is true, look at the number in the OP title—and think.

What did we finally get test kits? He refused the WHO kits starting this mess. Now we are finally getting data. \American data shows 40 percent of our cases are in 30 to 59 age group. That is different than other nations.

The lack of testing has a lot to do with the mortality rate.

A John’s Hopkins professor thinks the case number could be as high as 500,000. Panic enthusiasts think that is good news but it’s just the opposite because that almost guarantees a low mortality rate. Very likely below 1%.

And if it comes in that low, all of this was done over a virus that’s on par with the seasonal flu.

Or put it this way, if the numbers are going to jump to Plague like numbers—they are going to do it real soon. In fact, they should have done it by now but the Death by Corona numbers are barely worth mentioning in a country this size.

I think they pressed the panic button but we’ll know for sure, soon.

Hurricane experts know their stuff too but they don’t exactly bat 100% on their forecasts.

Well hopefully, the drastic measures taken, and the new way of life we shall all have to learn, will serve to reduce the death toll, and protect the most vulnerable until some sort of treatment or vaccine is found and then life can return to more freedom.

And with even more hope, the world will learn what should be done with the lion's share of wealth produced by workers, instead of making a few people extraordinarily wealthy. Build and preserve a fund for future pandemics and world emergencies.

I never said anything about the the stock market. I am saying if we look at Italy we can see what happens if you do nothing. I suspect this virus is 5 to 10 times more deadly than H1 N1 and about 1.5 more contagious. Also being contagious before symptoms is a huge problem. H1N1 did not tank Italy's hospital system but COVID19 certainly has. They are rationing ventilators. If you are about 70 years old you probably will not get a ventilator and will die.

No it is not. H1N1 killed 284,000 globally. 59 million Americans contracted the H1N1 virus, 265,000 were hospitalized as a result, and 12,428 died.

So far, in 65 days we have had 9,205 cases and 154 deaths. That amounts to a NOTHING BURGER.

If 35,713 cases are tanking Italy's healthcare system, what does that say about Socialistic Government controlled systems?

The bottom line here is that people, while normal people are calm, there are some who are panicking and, as this thread and others prove, those who are in denial. I'm content to be patient and wait until Easter, which Trump canceled at the WH, to take a body count then wait another few weeks to take another body count on Cinco de Mayo. At that time everyone on this forum can revisit those who were panicking and those who were in denial.

BTW, Trump admitted today that Coronavirus is bad and not under control....then he punted to Pence again.
