What's the complaint? TESTING? do you know WHY tests are scarce? Have you bothered to look beyond the political yammering? no. OF COURSE NOT..better to *kvetch* like a grouchy old fart.

The NEWSFLASH is that early border closing to China saved our butt from being like Europe,
Spain just closed all bars/restaurants, for fun watch the "crawl" below the pic on news coverage.
You'll see countries are getting right behind what Trump just did. KSA banned international flights...etc.

I don't expect praise for trump in an election year -but you should get the true picture at least

Testing is coming along this week.but in the meantime Trump's quarantines put us in much better shape

As a middle aged white man myself, I'm going to have to plead guilty to going to the store. Now admittedly it's something I do regularly having a family to feed and all. I choose to live in a diverse area so my store isn't full of middle age white men. But I will be wary going forward of any middle age white men staring at my grocery cart.

then if Trump was just getting around to this like parts of Europe and the middle east are doing.

In California middle age white men are Democrats. Unless you are out in the sticks, then you'll find some Republicans but educated progressive folks generally wouldn't be caught dead out there.

On social media I'm seeing friends in L.A. post pictures of half hour lines outside Target and other stores. Don't know if it is panic or not but its reality.

CA is a Democratic Zoo- lots of different critter types, but invariably Dem.

When I first found out you were a Repub, from San Francisco. i was like "what? do they have them there??"

Ha!! You're not the first to have asked that. And its not like I grew up in a big Republican family either. The local joke is people would rather come out as gay than as a Republican. On Facebook, I look at all my 'friends' who were high school classmates, teachers, counselors etc., almost zero Republicans (or at least that post). So I still couldn't tell you how it happened.

Hey, here's an idea how you can help out your neighbors, who are righteously worried. My youngest, who as you know is a real teacher, said that the community FB pages in her area are being flooded with desperate parents trying to find daycare for their children as the schools are closed till April 5. Why don't you offer to take in a few of your neighbors' children for the duration? Think how comforting it would be for them to know that they don't have to take off work and miss a paycheck because they don't have daycare. Think of how you could put your imaginary credentials to work, helping others! After all, you're constantly blowing your own horn about how "involved" you are with school and charity and all.

And maybe tomorrow your Mango Messiah will stop lying, too. :laugh:

What a blessing for them. I seldom wish that we lived closer to town but now I do. Told Mr. Owl yesterday that if we lived in town we could take care of a few kids for a while, till the schools open again. He didn't look too enthusiastic. lol But I'd dearly love to have some little faces around, at least during the day. The only little boy who lived in our area moved away with his mom last summer.
