You don't get out much do you? When you are a foreigner entering the country, you have to state where you are staying and for how long. It's on the entry card you fill out. ;)

If you are visiting someone; you have to list their name, address and phone number. ;)

If you are planning to overstay your visa, you sure won't live very long at that address, or you have people who are scheduled to begin their studies at a certain college but never show up.
