Again...the nation was ready for change in '16. Things were moving along nicely, and trump came out with his 'drain the swamp' nonsense. (Ironic that he invited corporate America into every aspect of govt. now).

Now that everyone sees through the nonsense, they're ready for stability. Biden represents a time when we went from Republican induced calamity, to a calm sea with smooth sailing ahead.

We tried the 'How would it be with a failed businessperson running the country?' It's time to put an adult in charge, and you are correct. trump will be thrown out on his ass.

I will likely vote for the Democratic nominee because, while some are not good choices, they are all 1000% better than the Republican nominee.

While Trump and Biden are both suffering from mental problems, only Biden is losing support over that. Conservatives generally like stupid candidates like Trump, because they think it means he's real. Liberals prefer smart people. So if it comes down to Trump vs Biden, it's going to be a repeat of the last election where Trump wins because so many Liberals don't bother voting.

I disagree. Biden might keep the kids away again, but they were motivated by the gun issue. Of course, they might come out and vote for a third party loon, but I believe those who opted to see what trump has to offer are not going to make that mistake again. The Independents in key states. Suburban women are all but waiting on line at their polling stations already. That's a huge swing.


Biden might not be quick on is feet when the cameras are rolling. That doesn't mean he lost his ability to employ reason when necessary. trump never had that ability due in large part to his father's unlimited resources. Hell...trump wanted to go to college to be an actor. He flunked out and went off and had his daddy buy a diploma from Wharton.


I don't see Biden as a hindrance to taking back the WH. Not at all.

Why he asked white people to endorse his Douglass Plan for Black America (67 percent of the endorsers’ names that could be reliably checked were white, according to the Intercept).

Why he couldn’t fire Aaron Knepper, a police officer involved in the killing of an unarmed black man, despite multiple accusations of police brutality against him, dating back to 2012.

Most importantly, we asked Pete Buttigieg why black voters would trust him to fix America when he didn’t fix these issues in South Bend.

He will never get the Black vote.
 
If we are holding Harris to such a high threshold on criminal justice, Joe Biden, Pete Buttigieg and Michael Bloomberg shouldn’t be in the race, either.

Biden help write the crime bill, guttigieg is clueless and bloomberg help write stop and frisk.

Harris followed the rules instituted by these white males.

Trump never had the ability to employ reason, but again, his supporters don't care. As long as he keeps acting "real" they're going to come out to vote for him. The real question is does Biden have the ability to draw out Liberals and left-leaning Centrists? So far, it looks like the answer is no. Like with Hillary, most Biden supporters only support him because they recognize him and they think he can beat Trump. There is no passion or excitement among his voters like there is for Sanders, Gabbard, Warren, and Yang.

Yang is right when he said "when we're talking about Trump, we're losing." This is because people don't vote against candidates, they vote for candidates. That's why Hillary lost and that's why Biden will lose if he gets the nomination.

I understand your point about Biden. The Democrats will vote for Mickey Mouse if he were the candidate. Centrists too. It's the Independents who will decide this election, as they do all elections.

I think those who chose to vote third party in '16, or not vote at all are now regretting that trump is in office. I would say that if Biden gets the nomination, his VP pick will be important. Tim Kaine was a horrid pick for Hillary.

Also...there was a lot of animosity aimed at Clinton by Bernie supporters. Many voted for trump out of spite. We don't have that this time around.

'16 was an anomaly. It isn't going to happen again.
