That all makes sense, but Mitch, giving the numbers, could allow those handful of Senators in jeopardy to vote in favor of impeachment, they have enough votes without them, it requires a two thirds majority vote

And I think you are underestimating the power of Trump's talent to manipulate the media, as I noted, he, along with the entire right wing media, will pound home the image that he is a martyr, which has actually already started, so when the Senate vote comes back, they will frame it as vindication, just as Barr got out ahead of the Mueller Report to discredit it

As the comment was made, the Democrats always bring a textbook to a twitter fight, which it will come down to, all about image

I'm going to say that we disagree, I'd still slow walking it to keep it bleeding, just as the GOP did with Hillary prior to 2016 to cement her image as a shady, and you see quick action to invalidate Trump and pick up the Senate in 2020

I actually agree with this lol.

Much of the electorate has the attention span of a hamster. If it draws out, people will lose interest; other developments [Barr report cough, cough lol] could run it off the news cycle etc. That’s what happened to the collusion/obstruction fantasy—democrats just let it lay there too long.

I say democrats will either vote on it early—or not at all. Just do it, they do have the votes, right?
