they do if there is documented evidence. Testimony backs up any evidence presented by prosecutors.
Simply putting a criminal individual on a stand without evidence impeaches the testimony to the point it's moot

If Democrats step into the trap, deciding that bringing "investigations" into the 2020 election cycle is a good idea, there may not be any candidate, none of the clown show red nose wearing declared for sure, that can give them a fighting chance.
It exposes that they can not campaign on the real issues

if anyone thinks there is a point to questioning Cohen today beyond the National Enquirer sensationalism that they hope it will bring, then I can't help you.

Nothing Cohen will say is new, or will stand up in any legitimate "investigation", that's just throwing another nothing burger on the fire, sooner or later people have to eat

Hundreds of Democrats ran on investigating Trump last year, and they ended up winning at least 41 seats in the House, making Pelosi the Speaker again.

So it seems that this comes from a place not of altruism, but of "don't do the thing that ended up killing me in the previous election again."
