the problem isn't the barriers, the problem is the barriers are not covering the entire border. I'm sure it's much less then 1/2 our mileage with Mexico
The more the border is "walled off" the less ability to penetrate across it

I don't think those who support the wall think it would stop the tunnels. It is designed to stop a large number of individuals from illegally crossing. Even without the wall, as it has become harder to cross illegally that makes it more expensive to pay for someone to sneak people across the border in the tunnels, trucks, etc. while also making it more lucrative to do so.

They would not need imminent domain. They just use a search warrant and when they find criminal activity seize the drugs, building, vehicles, etc. under civil forfeiture laws.

They are not trying to cross the border illegally so they can be apprehended. They (including members of the caravan) are presenting themselves at ports-of-entry and requesting asylum.

I have serious doubts about a wall, but.... Why is someone who wants a wall to keep out illegals entering across the southern border a racist but someone who wants to use the border patrol, technology, or barriers to keep out the SAME people not racist?

Million dollar Military drones are helpful in patrolling the border, as you can tell whether someone holding a coin in the palm of their hand is a head or tails from 17,000 feet.

But, that is not the kind of drones we need to follow the fence jumpers after they have already jumped over the fence and are on the loose in the desert.

All that requires are smaller and much cheaper drones! Hell, there are toy drones being sold in 7/11's for $50 that can do that job.
