The greatest trick Donald Trump ever pulled

I'm talking about the results of his presidency, not him. There is a difference.

His results are mostly about him bragging and taking credit for 8 years of hard work to bring the economy BACK after the dotcom bubble and the following 8 years of the Bush administration.

That's not even a new trick. Thomas Jefferson accomplished the same feat. Especially in the face of poor-born rivals like Adams and Hamilton (the latter of which was born into abject poverty and social marginalization).

Except Jefferson was a smart man and a patriot.. Have you read his correspondence?

Here's what's going to happen;

Tonight, Trump is going to end the shutdown by pretending that he can fund the wall construction another way, perhaps by declaring an emergency and using DoD funds -meant for the wars you all wanted- to build it. Only, he'll get sued in court for that, and no wall will get built. Meanwhile, the government will re-open and nothing will be constructed on the border - EVER. Then Trump will never utter the words "the wall" again, and neither will you. You'll just shuffle it off into the ether and hope no one brings it up. Only that's all we're going to do; bring up the fact that you shut down the government over a wall that will never get built, that you don't even want to talk about anymore...like how you don't want to talk about how Trump said Mexico would pay for it.
How'd that work out?

"Trump has said things I don't like".

If you guys took a break from the word and thought policing, you might find that things are going pretty good.

Well...in order to "find that things are going pretty good"...it might help to drink some of that Kool Aid you guys seem to drink by the pitcher full.

Donald Trump has done a lot of unprecedented things since he started running for president in June 2015. He's attacked prisoners of war.

He's bullied just about everyone in the world of politics. He's downplayed the white supremacist violence that led to a woman's death in Charlottesville, Virginia. He's said thousands, literally, of things that are not true.

I didn't read past the second paragraph. It's funny, libs accuse Trump of constantly lying, but perhaps you should look in the mirror.

I have NO reason to lie...

America should “build a wall of steel, a wall as high as Heaven" against the flow of immigrants.–Georgia Gov. Clifford Walker, at a 1924 convention of the Ku Klux Klan, then a powerful force at a time of strain for the white working class.

That obviously never stops you.

How'd that work out?

Well, perhaps I was a little ahead of myself.

We'll see what happens over the next couple days.

The TSA workers not showing up and the GOP Senators calling to reopen the government certainly seem to indicate what I predicted is still entirely possible.
