Are you high????? That's what we're talking about. Nobody, including Trump means you need to show an ID for paying cash for a bag of carrots. A lot of stores want ID if you're paying with check, debit or credit or certain items like cigarettes, booze or prescriptions or certain items in the Rx.
They do not ask you because you are too fucking broke to have a credit card. I am sure they take the time to count all those pennies you hoist up on the counter though.
