He is entitled to a trial as well as an appeal. But those who are without a doubt guilty of a crime like this should be tried, appealed, and executed within a year or so. If we did that to all that apply, we'd have a LOT less criminals in jail costing a LOT of money to the taxpayer.

Okay Libs.... Tell me why the Tennessee killer should not receive the death penalty and be put to death very fast
Oh don't worry.. I have three or four user names that are not banned.. just biding my time
You must have been one of the crybaby pussies there!
Your avatar looks like he is about to receive a face shot from trump. It looks like who I picture you do be.
We used to be friends until he threw me under the bus. Red Ashton (name taken from the hero of "atlas shrugged"). Is that dipstick still there and the basement monkeys?
Red is kind of an idiot, but not flat out terrrible. He's there. He' a mod now.
Because he is entitled to a trial and appeals. Shouldn't we make sure the person we execute is the person who committed the crime?
It works. Once dead, they're not going to kill anyone else.No. That's not what you said. You said it was done, knowing the consequences. That's why I pointed out that it isn't a deterrent. Semantics. The point is that the death penalty doesn't work. It didn't deter the schizophrenic guy. It might have even inspired him, not unlike the way people commit suicide by cop.

Is there any doubt in this case?
It's not just libs, there are Libertarians and even conservatives who are anti death penalty.
To volsrock, anyone who doesn't agree with him in the slightest detail must be a "lib".It's not just libs, there are Libertarians and even conservatives who are anti death penalty.
My belief is if we are going to have the death penalty then it should be used on people like this. But you have to have a process, even for someone like this.
Probably not; yet, you have no proof he shot anybody except for what you read or saw on television. There are lot of examples where we jumped to conclusions (the guard at the Atlanta Olympics).
In my state, there is a bi-partisan effort underway to eliminate the death penalty. Among other reasons, it's the practical thing to do. Executing someone requires far more money and resources than life sentences without the possibility of parole.
The, "They will never kill anyone again," bit is old and worn out. I think the last person executed in the U.S. was 83 years old. Not much of a threat.
