Wishful thinking.

Overturning Roe - the crux of such a raw, emotional issue for so many - would be absolutely seismic. There is no way it wouldn't be perceived as one of the hardest shifts right that this country has had in decades.

I don't know about Dem rule for 25 years - but it would affect at least a few elections.

what happens if its not overturned and you have a conservative majority?

Where you're from, Lorax, you fucking kill babies.

Don't be so dramatic. I'm against abortion. I think it should be discouraged & rare.

But forcing a woman to carry a fetus to term is Draconian and borderline barbaric. I don't want to live in a society where the state has that kind of power.

Roe is a reasonable & good compromise. It's about viability. In the 1st trimester, there is no cognizance or viability. Deal with it.

As you must deal when a conservative court makes baby killing illegal.

Why are you against it?

Why do you think it should be discouraged?

Why do you think it should be rare?

roe is bad law even though I am pro-having the right to kill your baby

Why do you think it should be discouraged?

Why do you think it should be rare?

he has cognitive dissonance. he is against it and belives it should be discouraged and should be rare because he knows it's killing a kid, but he can't bring himself to say it.

I mean I get it when it's a blastocyst but once it has arms legs eyes a head and is kicking and squirming around it's a baby. it's that simple

It's not the black & white issue that extremists on both sides want anyone to accept.

I don't know why you consider yourself to be pro-life. You are most certainly not. It is strictly an ideological issue for you.

I don't think terminating a zygote is "killing a kid." I think it gets murkier the more that zygote develops.

It's a complex issue. Most people don't want it to be - which is why they go to extremes.

So you can't articulate why you are opposed to abortion and want it to be rare?

WOW

the best you can come up with is "it's a complex issue"?

Let's try again Thingy

Why are you against abortion?

Why do you think it should be discouraged?

Why do you think it should be rare?

From the moment of conception, this is a separate life from the mother with his or her own DNA with the right to preservation, nurturing and protection.

It's competing rights. There is the right of the potential human being, against the right of the body that potential human being needs. As I've said, it get murkier as the fetus develops - which is why I think Roe is such a perfect compromise.

Trust me - I've thought about this issue WAY more than you have. You're in over your head w/ me. You just see it as "lefty = bad." You don't care about life.
