Guess this is one of those damned if you do, damned if you don't moments. I posted Garrison Keillor's exact title from the article, rather than my own thoughts which would have been something like "Trump won, bigots rule." See my previous posts about David Duke and the KKK for clarification.

Keillor's a humorist. Maybe you don't like his type of humor but he's made some sly dig at liberals, too, in the article.

Exactly. I trace it to G. W. bush, who couldn't string together two coherent sentences. Suddenly education and intelligence became negative qualities.

You need to know the definitions of words before you try to use them....

Elite........ In political and sociological theory for a small group of powerful people that controls a disproportionate amount of wealth, privilege or political power in a society.

To me it still misses the point. Yes there are bigots who voted for Trump. There are also people who voted for Trump who voted for Obama. Did they all of a sudden turn bigots? In reality calling so many people bigots is just a way to attack people who voted differently instead of trying to understand them.

They're exercising their First Amendment rights. Wasn't it trump supporters who claimed they'd pick up their guns and push for armed rebellion if he lost? Give me good old civil disobedience, not a bloodbath.

Clinton's. There I corrected your spelling. Trump has never wielded any political power....this is the first time he's sought any office of trust. :) First time out of the gate and he kicked ass....unlike the Hildabeast who is now a 2 time loser.

Well it is like somebody said, you were given choice of which leg do you want amputated. I understand that you wanted a woman but Clinton was just bloody awful. It would seem that many women in the US agreed as 53% of white women voted for Trump and 44% overall. Those figures are pretty mind blowing to my mind at least.

I didn't want a woman, I wanted Bernie. Hillary was my default vote.
