McCain blames Obama for Orlando massacre

I don't recall McCain standing up to Trump after he said McCain wasn't a war hero. Maybe someone can refresh my memory if he did.

Maybe he doesn't consider himself a war hero, most members of the armed forces don't.........your guess is as good as anyones....

Trump's oblivious to the irony of this statement: "In a follow-up statement sent to reporters, Trump again declined to apologize, calling McCain “yet another all talk, no action politician who spends too much time on television and not enough time doing his job.”

This stupid fool should retire and enjoy his remaining years on a beach somewhere. I think his brain's turning to mush.

"Sen. John McCain, criticized President Barack Obama Thursday, saying he was "directly responsible" for the attack on an Orlando gay nightclub that left 49 clubgoers dead and 53 more injured.

According to The Washington Post, the Arizona senator blamed the president for the rise of the Islamic State, saying, "when he pulled everybody out of Iraq, al-Qaeda went to Syria, became ISIS, and ISIS is what it is today thanks to Barack Obama's failures."

The shooter, 29-year-old Omar Mateen, reportedly pledged allegiance to ISIS before the attack, but intelligence officials have not yet found evidence he had any direct connection to the extremist terror group.

McCain later attempted to clarify his comments, saying he was referring to the president's "national security decisions" as opposed to Obama himself."

I was, and still am, implacably opposed to the 2003 war in Iraq but the facts are undeniable. The withdrawal of the troops was directly responsible for the rise of Daesh, I just can't see how that is in the least bit controversial. As to the rest, blaming Obama for the nightclub massacre is just ludicrous.

I recall that troop withdrawal started in 2009 and was to be completed by 2011. And sometime after troops started going home the Arab Spring started, over 20 countries were involved in changing their leaders or governments, and that it looked like the ME was heading toward democratization. So how is it that Obama is directly responsible for the rise of Daesh when so many countries seemed to be changing for the better during the Arab Spring?

Seemed is the operative word here, Obama told everybody in advance when the end date would be and didn't have a plan B in place if and when it all went tits up!
