If Donald Trump wins, what country would you flee to?

I agree with most of what Sanders promotes. I see an America where corporatism is weaker and individuals have more ability to control their economic mobility based on honest work and universal ability to attain an education.

I see an America where we care for our elderly and don't simply dismiss them, I see an America where we care for the sick and the poor.

I notice that your post is completely devoid of family, which used to be the ones that cared for their elderly and sick and poor. typical statism.

The problem is that too many are not doing it, and those of us trying are met with corporate obstacles at every turn.

Man libs leaving the country in droves. THis would be a double win!

Maybe we can actually stop Islamic Terrorists from killing people, without whiny liberals getting in the way. AQ/ISIS best ally is the American Liberal. Who lets their people out of gitmo, and makes strong arguments on their behalf.

They both agree that the West and the USA are racist bigoted countries that have to go, or be "transformed."

That's why Obama refuses to fight ISIS, he's their ally.

You are a hopelessly ignorant asshole.

I think the Republicans, and the nation, are in trouble this election.

The Republicans are only willing to nominate unelectable candidates, Trump or Cruz. Rubio is electable but does not look good for the nomination.

HRC has boxed out Sanders... but she is electable.

So we get HRC, when we could have had the better choice Sanders, or the more liberal choice Rubio.

Well first of all you said Jeb was a clinch for the GOP nomination and I told you long ago that he wouldn't have a chance. So there is that.

Secondly, maybe if you lefties spent more time trying to elect Bernie instead of having Hitlery shoved down your throat you would have your better candidate. I think it is amazing that all of you lefties say you "Like Bernie more", but are willing to accept Hillary and do nothing about it. Some principles you have there sparky.

Maybe you should clean up your own backyard first?

This is where I wish I could groan to the nth degree. "Better choice Sanders...?" What kind of country do you envision for the future? Bernie Sanders indeed...

One that would be saner than President Trump, now that is a scary thought and I am not afraid to say so.

I never said JEB was a cinch, liar!

I am going to do something about the fact that I like Sanders better than Clanton, I'm going to vote for Sanders.

Unlike the way many of you conservatives are unwilling to say anything negative about Trump, I have plenty of negative things to say about Hillary.

Corporations are stopping you from caring for your family?

That is interesting. I am sorry you are such a victim.

I never said corporations are stopping me from caring for my family.

I said they are presenting obstacles to doing it.

I had to place my mother in a nursing home over Thanksgiving. In March I had moved her grandchildren into her house to help care for her, but by Thanksgiving she had lost 10 lbs and was being very argumentative with them. She was not sleeping and keeping them up all night demanding that they take her home. (She was in the home she has lived in for 48 years)

I visited more than 15 facilities in the Tampa area. I chose what I had thought was the best. All of them had a sales person, not a nurse, to answer all my questions and show me the facility. We signed the contract and moved her in, it was going to be expensive but we were desperate for a better living environment for her. They promised a staff skilled at handling her particular type of dementia. ONce we moved in, the entire staff basically disappeared. They stopped answering questions. The promise that a nurse on site who could administer medication 24/7 disappeared. At night the nursing staff dropped to only one or two unskilled, untrained nurses.

After three days, they called and told us it was essential to move her to a different more restrictive ward. (also much more expensive) They promised to take care of the move and said it would be better if the family stayed away for a few days to let her adjust. We agreed. On the third day after she was to have been moved to the new unit, they called saying she was combative and angry and they needed us to come try to manage her. Upon arrival it was learned that she had been moved from her private room with her own bed, her own belongings and her own clothes, to a the new unit, without moving any of her belongings (as they had promised to do). My mother was wearing her roommates underwear and nightgown, her own belongings being in the other ward. She was upset and combative. We could not calm her down.

The finally decided to baker act her. When we realized an ambulance was on its way to transport her to the hospital, we asked for her to get a dose of her prescribed medication, Xanax to calm her. The facility refused, saying that it was important for the hospital to see her in the state she was in. My 82 year old, sweet and kind loving mother, who had never been combative in her entire life, kicked and screamed and punched as we worked to get her strapped to the gurney and into the ambulance.

She was placed in a Medical Psych ward and strapped to the bed with shackles for 6 days. My sisters and I sat by her side trying to keep her calm. The second we would leave they would dose her up with powerful anti-psychotic meds. The Doctor informed me that he was manipulating the system to keep her in the medical psych ward instead of the straight Psych ward because it would be terrible for her. He said that the Hospital was breathing down his back about it after the third day because it was cheaper to keep her in the psych ward and Medicare reimbursement was the same either way.

After the fifth day they said they were going to release her. I found a new Assisted Living Facility for her to move into, they made the same promises as the previous facility and they seemed to be a very nice place. I moved her belongings and furniture to her new room in the new facility. By the time I was done moving it was 10:30 at night, and I fell asleep in her bed. At one A.M. I was awoken to a huge fight in the hallway between two nurses. They were yelling about one of them being late, eventually they slammed the door in the hall and the fight ended. I spoke with the "nurse" who stayed. Despite having been told by the sales staff that there were always three nurses on duty, this woman was the only one there that night. She told me that it had been that way for months.

In the morning I desperately searched for a new option, I had recalled a place I had toured that was twice the price of the ones I had chosen, I went back to them and toured it again. The head nurse showed me around. I was again impressed and moved my mothers belongings for a third time in a month. I got her from the hospital that afternoon and moved her to the new facility. This was four days ago. She is doing much better and surprise visits from my sisters and I have shown that the care is consistent around the clock. The facility is $8,000 a month.

I cannot even guess what happens to people in this situation who don't have family and money and resources.

The pressure to make more and more money has created an ALF system that lies to families about resources available. The salary of the nurses at my mothers new facility is almost double the salary of the nurses at the old place. I checked the corporate profits of the parent companies that own these facilities and those who barely pay their employees and cant keep themselves fully staffed is huge. When they pay the sales people more than the nurses, we have a huge problem.

The desperate desire for corporate and hospital profit at almost any cost results in terrible situations for families in desperate situations.

I would not outright say I will move if Donald Trump is elected, but if he is elected and it moves the nation to where I fear it might, I would try to leave.

I do not want my children to die fighting unnecessary wars against terrorists.
I do not want my children to live in a nation where leaders joke about killing journalists.
I do not want my children to live in a nation where leaders make sexist comments.
I do not want my children to live in a nation where the leader uses double speak to an extreme.
I want my children to be free, with equal opportunity, where there are not jokes by those in power about killing those who exercise their freedom of speech.

"Try to leave"? What could stop you?

You were totally pro Hillary just a few months ago, what happened?

I might relocate to California.

It's technically a foreign country right now, so does that count for purposes of this discussion?

If Trump is elected?

Well, It was illegal for able bodied people to leave Germany in 1939, the government made strident efforts to prevent citizens from leaving.

So if he's elected you'll leave so long as no one stops you from doing so?

So if he's elected you'll leave so long as no one stops you from doing so?

Did I say that? No, if he is elected and my fears about what he would do to our nation are realized I would likely leave. I don't think my fears would be realized because we would still have a congress a supreme court and an impeachment process.
