I've been watching basketball for a long time and personally I think this is a momentous event for the new commissioner Adam Silver regarding the outburts of Sterling. I've read so many respondents on whether Sterling's comments should warrant suspension/banned. Personally, my mentality is like "what took them so long?" Look, I don't care if this was made private because in the world we live in what is privacy? Besides, according to recent reports apparently this man wants to be recorded because he has an issue with forgetfulness and has to revert back to tape recording to reference things he has said (which I find quite odd).

Another thing I find interesting of those who indirectly defend Sterling is the mentioning of Magic Johnson's HIV status. Seriously, what does his health status have to do with the issue with Sterling? Aside from that this is another face of the gold digger getting an old man because the soon-to-be-ex-wife wants all the monies spent on this young woman back and supposedly this young woman was threatened legal action if she didn't return "the gifts" given to her. I "hate" gold diggers with a passion but I personally feel like this person was useful in exposing Sterling, which I believe it to be poetic justice.

Using people for finanacial gain regardless whether the person has a substantial amont of money is not (in my book) moral. I don't think you can generalize even using the words "hate" in allocation to men, because I think most level headed men simply dislike women who are users, and actually I think this notion crosses both genders. Nobody likes to be used and nobody likes people to masquerade their sincerity.

Sterling's comments became public on Saturday morning. On Monday numerous sponsors pulled their deals from the Clippers. What had been rumored we now find out to be true that players from all teams would have not played Tuesday's games in protest (we're in the playoffs here when attention to the league is at its peak) had the league not taken the action it did.

That's a legitimate question and one many people are asking. Commissioner Silver dodged it by saying he wasn't in control all these years. In today's social media environment there was no chance of these most recent comments getting swept under the rug.

I don't think that is the plan and that's not what happened to Sterling. Without these new comments he would not have been banned from the league.

But shouldn't all be held to the same level of accountability; or are some to be overlooked, just because of their "abilities".

Is there a specific owner you are referring to or a specific incident? Is your ultimate argument here that the NBA shouldn't have taken the action it did against Sterling?
