Officially only one side has traditionally been called to task. That is my point in this post. Why should Israel be special and not have to particiapte in nuke weapons talks and treaties and such ?

And my point, why should Israel be the only one brought to task? Look at how the international community has dealt with Israel/jews over the years. Look at the nonsense 'swats' by commissions of the UN, loaded from dictators around the world. If you were Israel, what would you do about answering about nukes or no nukes? You are not an idiot, Israel is not suicidal.

Truly I wonder at their restraint. When 7 countries collude to attack, then are repelled, then upset that they lost... :eek: Interesting they aren't much more paranoid. They've done what they can, it takes two 'willing' partners to negotiate.

I agree Darla.... Israel wanted to send a clear message to the folks in Lebanon and they did...I am just not sure that the Lebanese response to their message is all they hoped for.

The international community has been far kinder to Israel than to the Palestinians. It's high time that inequity be righted.

One would think, but I was reading earlier today that Hamas members are now going to Iran for the same training given to Hezbollah before. Then there is the Iranian supplying the Palestinians, through Egypt. It's a very, very bad neighborhood.
 
oh, you're absolutely right....every arab government routinely gives support to a variety of anti-Israeli organizations....

I agree with you that it is a bad neighborhood.... that every single arab state in the region supports the PLO and has for decades....

why we made a big deal out of Saddam's support for palestinian terrorism while ignoring identical support from Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Syria and Egypt, among many others - is beyond me

Thank you, I mistakenly read in sarcasm that was not intended. I'd say the most likely culprit, they have 'ties' to US. One would think 9/11 would have changed that, it's quite obvious that 'diplomacy' is not working with them either. ;)
