My home state has been declared a federal disaster area due to flooding after Thursday's derecho. It didn't affect my area but some parts of the state, just miles from me look like a war zone. The current death toll is 26 but it's going to climb. I lost one friend to the floods. Lots of people here have lost everything.

White Sulphur Springs was hit hard. They cancelled the Greenbriar Classic PGA tournament. A friend from there says they're finding bodies on the course.
