aug 23 2022 Five people have been killed in a horror head-on crash in Florida by a wrong-way driver whose license was revoked eight years ago.

Valeria Cáceres, Valeria Peña, Daniella Marcano, Briana Pacalagua and Giancarlo Arias were named as the victims in the smash in Miami.

All of them were aged from 18 to 25 and died at the site from critical injuries following the horrendous impact.

Maiky Simeon had been speeding the wrong way down Palmetto Expressway and slammed into their car at around 4.30am on Saturday.

The 30-year-old, who survived but was hospitalized, lost his license in 2014 for racing at 109mph. But cops said he had a valid license at the time of the crash.

But this egregious speeding episode was just one of many driving related offences on his record.

Simeon had several other incidents including more speeding violations and running red lights to his name both before and after the 2014 charge.

While it seems to be true that when blacks commit violent crimes, including and especially against white victims, the media goes out of its way to not verbally point out the color of his/her skin.

OTOH, if there are pictures of the perpetrator, they will show them and as such, we can easily see.

Which admittedly, is unlike when white perpetrators commit violent crimes against black victims, skin color is part of the headline or lead-in statement.

And that is unfortunate, but you can't reasonably claim they are hiding the facts.

As for your ridiculous attempt to draw a parallel with this incident, can you imagine if every automobile accident was covered on the national news?

That's all we'd ever be reading or hearing about.

Certainly in terms of total numbers, simply because whites outnumber blacks by about 5 to 1.

On a per capita basis, I've never seen statistics either way.
