Israel is a beacon of freedom, justice, and democracy surrounded by barbaric 14th-century throwbacks. Without Israel, we'd have no true ally in the middle east.

True ally? One that can get folks killed, just for going for diplomacy? I mean, hells bells, Obama's reps have been saying forever that they want peace. Now Israel has their pants in a wad, simply because there's no limits on Iran's development of nuclear (peaceful nuclear), products?

I say, just get out of the middle east and let Israel deal with their own problems. They can defend themselves. We should just stay out of it all together.

Hey, they may be awash in oil, but even they are worried about the cost of oil. That taking out Israel is just a bit of a problem,no? Gets US out of ME.

The world would be better without fundamentalist religious beliefs and, in our's and Israel's case, neocon war mongers. WAY too much emotional bullshit flying around and some of it is done on purpose in order to create incidences like this because it serves their purposes. We have a group of people that are traitors in this country who worship money and use religion to advance their agenda. Rmoney has LOST this election and become Palin right in front of our eyes. Clueless and viscious liars both.
What I do know for certain is, the world would, undoubtedly, be better off without Muslims.......(and less Democrats wouldn't hurt either )

If so many "seriously believe" they must destroy Israel, how come nobody has made a serious attempt in the more than 60 years Israel has been around?
if they are peaceful, then why is iran concentrating uranium beyond the requirements of nuclear reactors

or have you forgotten middle east history since wwii, the only reason they have not succeeded is because the israelis are better at defending themselves from armed attacks, of late with the help of the u s of a and jews around the world
since the anti-israel people have not been able to force the israelis out through the use of armies, they have resorted to terrorism
how can israel negotiate with a government that denies israel's right to exist
also, how can israel have an open border with palistine when terrorists use that access to smuggle bombs in to israel or to bomb the border check points
