CBS "Evening News" anchor Scott Pelley leads Tuesday's broadcast with "the worst economic recovery America has ever had." Pelley discusses the 41 months of unemployment above 8% under the Obama administration.

"We've been looking for hopeful signs, but today the chairman of the Federal Reserve threw a cold splash of reality on those hopes," Pelley said.

So far I like this pattern of engagement. According to Obama, paraphrasing here, when you have nothing to offer all you do is try to make your opponent evil... I see he's got nothing to offer.

The race thing works both ways. Yes partisan Democrats would be making excuses for a Democratic President regardless of their sex or race. The President being black has nothing to do with that. Someone on the right playing the race card is no better than someone on the left doing it.
