While fighting in the Afghanistan War, he was known simply as Wali, one of the deadliest snipers in the world. He and three other former Canadian soldiers left Poland for Ukraine on March 2 after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called for volunteers to help fight on March 1.


"I want to help them. It's as simple as that," Wali said. "I have to help because there are people here being bombarded just because they want to be European and not Russian."

The 40-year-old former sniper is said to have a kill distance of 2 miles, according to the Mirror,

All of that means that the anti-armor missiles and other key defensive weapons being shipped in large quantities across the border from Poland can be received and distributed with little to no Russian harassment. Russia isn't a position to militarily intervene, and that's likely to be putting Putin into a rage. Russian military losses are not easily replaceable; if Russia had the spare manpower or machines to throw into the now-stagnating effort, it would be doing so.

Putin is a strategic genius, backed by a superb military full of dead generals and thousands of soldiers, and the one still alive are starving and pissed off as hell. I predict if those troops do this for 2-4 weeks they'll start fragging the NCO and jr officer tents if they haven't started already.

What has to happen is an attack on Russian missile launchers. Until they are put out of commission, Ukraine will continue to be reduced to rubble.

Russia fired around 30 cruise missiles at the base, outside the city of Lviv, early Sunday, the local governor said.

Hours after the attack, ambulances were still rushing to the scene.

Roads leading to the facility were blocked with checkpoints and authorities were conducting search-and-rescue operations.

Russian jets fired around 30 cruise missiles at the site, also known as the International Peacekeeping and Security Center, authorities in Lviv said. Most, though, were intercepted by the air defence system.

Video of the aftermath of the attack posted online and verified by the BBC showed a huge crater at the site and thick smoke billowing from a massive fire at a small building nearby.
