I never thought this recall was a good idea. Scott Walker was not incredibly unpopular, we were just setting ourselves up for embarrassment. Sure, we have the manpower to force through a recall, but we're not going to come out of things looking good if it fails, and besides, that manpower, and the money required to organize it, could've been put to better use elsewhere.

The phone number is that of Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett’s campaign headquarters. The influx of calls following this spam text message has shut down phones at Barrett’s campaign, just seven days before Election Day and right as get-out-the-vote efforts are ramping up.
