President Obama got the book thrown at him – literally.

In what was one of the president’s stranger campaign rallies, an unidentified individual in the crowd threw a book at Obama just after he wrapped up his remarks at the event in Philadelphia on Sunday.

The way I see it, if you're going to throw something at the President and risk prosecution for such an offense you at least ought to make some sort of fucking statement. That Iraqi was fucking pissed off and everyone knew it and, whether you agree with his point of view, you have to appreciate the balls involved. This anonymous thrower of an unknown book is pretty laughable in comparison. And the President didn't even notice. The shoe thrower at least gets two for flinchin from Bush.

Actually, it's never OK. But when an Iraqi does it to President Bush on live TV in a press conference and nearly takes his fucking head off while giving the president a piece of his mind it gets a little respect from me. Some anonymous candy ass lobbing an anonymous book at the president while cowering as an anonymous turd in the crowd doesn't even rank.

Mark Knoller of CBS said that the Secret Service has interviewed the author, whom they described as an "overexuberant" Obama supporter who merely wanted to make sure that the president had a copy of his book.
