No. There is no "gerrymandering scheme". That's just a conspiracy theory... There's no evidence for it.

WI has never been a dictatorship (although "Tyrant" Tony most certainly tried during the COVID lockdowns). WI is, and has always been, a republic.

Democrats here in WI constantly whine about "gerrymandering" because they haven't been able to win back control of the state assembly or senate since the tea party wave, and have needed election fraud in order to gain back control of the governorship.

"Gerrymandering" is just a conspiracy theory on their part... there is no evidence for it.

That is a phenomena known as splitting the ticket.

Many Independent voters will intentionally vote for the president of one party, then vote for a Congressmen of the other party.

Their philosophy being, they want things to be legislated the old fashioned way in Congress.

They feel that the CHECKS AND BALANCE process will figure out what is always best.

What they didn't count on though, is a Clown Circus being run by a bunch of CLOWNS!

And, so don't look for the Independents to split their ticket in 2024. They learned a valuable lesson in this Trump Era!

Here is a fact though- Many Republican Congressmen are up for re-election in Districts that voted for Biden in 2020!

Mitch McConnell has been warning you people for a couple of years now to think about this and be concerned about it.

The Democrats could pick up as many as 40 HOUSE seats!

RINOs sure do love to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory.

actually the link says that the Demmycrats rejected a proposal to have a nonpartisan group create new districts........

In a way, yes, but there's more to the story.

First off, there is no such thing as a "nonpartisan group". That's just a feel-good lie that's told in order to get people to buy into losing their say-so (via their representatives in the state legislature) over the redistricting process. Instead, that power gets turned over to a small group of partisan Democrat (and their RINO counterpart) hacks.

Secondly, what is interesting about the content being discussed in that link is that the insanely stupid idea that the RINOs who lead/control the State Legislature are currently pushing is actually an idea that Democrats have peddled in the past because of their conspiracy theory belief in "gerrymandering" despite there being absolutely zero evidence for it.

So both Democrats (donkeys) and RINOs (donkeys in elephant clothing) have now flip flopped on the very same proposal because neither of them have any principles (all that matters to them is retaining power and money). When Democrats supported it and RINOs opposed it, it was because RINOs felt like they were in a position of power (control of Governorship and State Supreme Court). Now, RINOs support it and Democrats oppose it because Democrats now feel like they have a leg to stand on power-wise (control of Governorship and more importantly the State Supreme Court).

Meanwhile, I just want the state legislature to do their damn job in accordance with the WI State Constitution and stop playing donkey games that screw over We The People.
