It seems no matter what the issue or the argument, the Liberals are finding themselves on the wrong end of public opinion across the board. A vast majority of America disagrees with them about the Health Care Debacle, the bailouts and taking control of entire industries, climate change, the Arizona law, and now the handling of the oil crisis. We keep seeing long-standing Democrat seats in the house and senate, going to Tea Party supported Republicans, as the Liberals continue to try and marginalize the Tea Party and Sarah Palin, continuing to lob insults and pejoratives at the right, and continuing to cast blame for all the problems on the previous administration... but it's just not working anymore. They continue to lose and lose badly, and the bloodbath has just begun.
While there is arguably some dissension between establishment Republicans and the Tea Party movement, those differences can be rectified before November, there is an opportunity for the various factions to coalesce with a uniform message in the end. The fracture is much more apparent on the Democrat side. There is a major rift in the party between the progressive liberals and the moderate democrats, and it only continues to grow, as Obama tried desperately to govern from a more 'centrist' position than his base is comfortable with. Regardless of what they try, they just can't seem to get things back on track, and the wheels are definitely coming off.
You would think someone with some political savvy, like a Carville or a Clinton, would clue them in and we'd see a dramatic change in the approach, but not so far. As of now, they seem perfectly content with continuing to bash and trash the right, call names, play the race card, and avoid responsibility for the multitude of failures mounting by the day. I believe this is a doomed strategy, and the most inept morons in the country, should realize that by now... but they don't.
