Or, "Senate looking good for Dems?"

Republicans blew it, bigtime. With the current circumstances, this election should have been a slam dunk, and a true red wave. It was foretold by many that Trump would hurt the party, and he has. It does seem like more rational minds on that side will prevail now, and they'll move on from him - but that isn't a certainty.

They should, unless they want to keep losing elections they should win.

Just the opposite. Dems should have blown away the Republicans.

Did you vote for the same party in 2022 that you voted for in 2020?

4 million Americans are permanently incapacitated by Long Covid. I wonder how they voted ?

In the words of Robert Downey, Jr., "Never go full-retard."

The transition from normal fucked-up republican to trumpanzee was the epitome of going "full-retard."

I almost never vote party line, on anything.

Basically, I don't think one party did much better than the other. The numbers in Congress will not change very much. That might mean people tend to vote their party at the congressional level. More likely, they vote against the other party (negative partisanship). The numbers below are the number of seats held in 2018 and 2020 and 2022 (?) All the numbers are fairly close and the final results this year will also be fairly close to these numbers.

It seems the number of partisan voters is fairly stable and big changes are unlikely. If there is a big change in Congress, it probably returns to the partisan balance the next election. The biggest change was the Republican gain of 16 seats in 2020.

2018-2020-2022
House Dems: 232-222-?
House Repub: 197-213-?
Senate Dems: 45-50-?
Senate Republs: 53-50-?
