Me? I'm still checking out the field.I live in New Jersey. We have a gubernatorial election THIS year.
I have already voted (by mail) for the Democratic candidate, Mikey Sherrill.
As of this moment, I would not vote for a Republican candidate even if it were Jesus Christ himself. The Republicans, in my opinion just do not know how to govern...and apparently have no intention of even trying to govern. All they seem willing to do is to do whatever Trump demands of them.
So, next year (if I live that long) I will vote for the Democratic Party candidates...as, in my opinion, our only hope.
So, we have elections coming up in just 12 months or there abouts and all of congress and 35 seats in the senate are up for grabs. Any ideas? Me I'm still searching for candidates in any party right now.
I look for character first — someone who serves the country, not a party. I want honesty, steadiness, and respect for the Constitution. I’m not chasing extremes or slogans; I’m looking for a grown-up who’ll listen, work across divides, and remember they represent all of the people. What are you looking for in your candidate(s)?
I tend to vote mostly (D) but very seldom ever vote straight ticket. I don't know yet who will be on the ballot. Our wonderful governor, Whitmer, is terming out next year. Several people have made noises about running to replace her but so far it's up in the air.
Ahhh...you are not going to vote for any Republicans either.I look for character first — someone who serves the country, not a party. I want honesty, steadiness, and respect for the Constitution.
