Iran was not attacking us? Trump attacked them. It takes time to set up a response. The missiles shot at the base were all show.

He dropped a few bombs, declared victory and walked away. Both Israel and Iran know how to work Trump; flatter him, offer him some grease for his palm and offer a "deal".

Israel needs US support due to the bad press of Gaza.

Iran is patient and can wait until the next election to start rebuilding their nuclear program. In the meantime, they simply clean up and work on delivery systems. A rocket capable of putting a 4000-pound satellite into orbit can also launch a nuke to any place on the planet.

Trump is anxious to put all this behind him and work on his Nobel Peace Prize.
